For who ? Those that wish to spend hours in a comfortable front room like at grandma’s.
Cult dish? Saturday brunch: reservation advisable!
Invitation to leisure, the lair of the Pipelettes seems to be like the comfy front room of our grandmother! White crockery, floral wallpaper and an previous Berkel slicer make this tea room/delicatessen a spot the place you’re feeling such as you’re at residence. Agnès Motte and Aline Fellmann, the 2 chatty homeowners of the place, have understood this properly: there’s nothing like a comfortable setting to indulge within the candy pleasure of brunch, a meal for idleness par excellence.
If the place (highly regarded) sends bowls and deluxe salads in a tense stream at lunchtime, earlier than going into tea time mode within the afternoon, it’s for brunch that we return to this finish of 14th (after a primary passage in 2016)! Each Saturday, for the sum of €25.50 (€17.50 for kids), the tables are full of well-sourced steaming teas (about fifteen à la carte, 5 € the teapot), baskets of seeded bread, do-it-yourself scones with raisins, a (too small) glass of recent fruit juice (carrot, apples, ginger that day), Bordier butter and impressed jams. Traditional however efficient.
On the savory aspect, the plate will not be unworthy: boiled egg, cream cheese with seeds, roasted potatoes with thyme, charcuterie iberico, skinny slices of Scottish smoked salmon, a small jar of taramasalata and a pleasant piece of pie of the day (chestnut/pumpkin)… Do not throw any extra! Every thing is ok and properly chiadé. All that is lacking are a couple of small sweets and massive dripping canapes to actually really feel at residence, away from the world.
